Dissatisfied with the limited Pilates training programs in Belgium, he sought inspiration and knowledge from around the world, working with renowned mentors Javier Velasquez and Siri Dharma Galliano, and immersing himself in the craft.

Miranda van Twillert, co-founder and driving force of Pilates Rebel Academy, discovered her love for movement and fitness at a young age, drawn to ballet and gymnastics. After years of global exploration, she settled down and turned her passion into a career. With a special affinity for Pilates, Miranda's journey began with classical training and has expanded to encompass new horizons under the guidance of mentors like Javier Velasquez and Mariska Bernard. |
Today, Miranda's infectious enthusiasm and expertise shine through as she teaches at various Pilates studios in the Netherlands and trains aspiring Pilates instructors. Alongside her partner Jeroen, she brings joy, playfulness, and a beautifull spirit to the Pilates community, always sharing their knowledge and pushing the boundaries of traditional practice.

JorienJorien is a physiotherapist in her practice in Kampenhout. During her basic training, she came into contact with Pilates and saw how good this workout is for moving in a controlled way and thus strengthening and balancing the whole body. She wanted to apply this training principle more and more in her practice for patients with specific complaints. She followed a Pilates course specifically for physiotherapists and later joined Grace, where she learned the traditional mat repertoire.

HedwigeAfter years of focusing on yoga, Hedwige has decided to expand her skills to Pilates under the experienced guidance of mentor Jeroen Vancoillie. She is currently undergoing an intense training, which will often bring her to the studio to participate in classes, foreign training, and workshops.
Her background as a yoga teacher and growing knowledge of Pilates bridge two complementary worlds that strengthen each other. With a mission to inspire and guide others, she strives to create more balance in daily life. A powerful and flexible body with a rested strong mind thanks to yoga and Pilates. Tip: every Tuesday morning & evening, she teaches Yin & Flow Yoga, a perfect complement to Pilates. |
JulieFrom a young age, I have been passionate about sports and movement. Dance, including ballet for 18 years, skiing, and scuba diving are just a few of my passions. With my master's degree in communication, I ended up in various commercial roles in the business world, but gradually the idea grew to start my own practice in coaching and movement. When I came into contact with Zumba 10 years ago, it all accelerated. In 2016, I started my own practice.
With Zumbalie, I aim to get children and adults moving in a fun and intense way and to make them fitter. As a busy mother of three young teenagers, I know better than anyone how important it is to have enough physical activity to stay on top of the daily rat race. Mens Sana in Corpore Sano. In addition to Zumba classes, I also give highly appreciated Body Work Outs, both in groups and in private coaching. After obtaining my Piloxing license, my interest in Pilates grew. Since then, I have been taking classes at Grace and have been inspired by the passion and enthusiasm that Jeroen and his team radiate. For me, Pilates is the ultimate way to balance body and mind. By working on your core stability, strengthening your muscles, and paying attention to your breathing, you gradually gain control over your body, which will help you function better. MarshaMarsha graduated in 1998 with a degree in Physical Education, specializing in dance and fitness training. Passionate about music, dance, and physical activity, she combined her studies with various aerobics and dance courses (FROS, AALO-Allround instructor, Nike presenter training, Zumba instructor) and participated in various international dance workshops (Fedes) and fitness conventions.
Her interest in the human body and mind continued to grow, and she decided to further expand her knowledge with studies in Motor Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy (2001). She enriched her experience for 15 years through her job as a fitness and movement coach and practical assistant for group fitness at KU Leuven. A few years ago, she discovered the magical world of Pilates when she experienced physical difficulties due to a herniated disc. The training at Pilates Rebels Studio under the guidance of Jeroen Vancoillie accelerated the rehabilitation process and helped avoid surgery. Triggered by this experience, combined with the drive to help others grow, Marsha decided to follow the Full Comprehensive Pilates training at the PI Pilates Academy. Anouk spent 5 years in the San Francisco region (California, USA). She is trained as a chemical engineer, and from a young, she has been intrigued by the concept of 'a healthy mind in a healthy body’, both in terms of movement and nutrition.
During her stay in America, Anouk seizes the opportunity to further develop herself. This translates into nurturing her longstanding passion for Pilates. She completes the one-year comprehensive training at the renowned Power Pilates and earns her certification as a Classical Pilates teacher. She learns to work with various Pilates apparatus and with clients of all levels. The desire to share her passion with others grows and leads to the opening of her own Pilates studio in Oakland. Her clients value her no-nonsense approach: she listens to them (and reads their body language) in order to provide a tailored and challenging training. Everyone gets the chance to progress at their own pace. She has worked with women and men of all ages. Anouk herself has practiced Pilates throughout and after her two pregnancies, an experience she gladly shares with other mothers. Anouk loves the idea of lifelong learning, and this holds true for her journey with Pilates. In California, she further expanded her knowledge through workouts and workshops led by Allison Gonzalez, Sonjé Mayo, Siri Galliano, Krisna Hanks, and Robert Surenbroek. In 2021, Anouk returns to Kessel-Lo. She takes on a role as a consultant in the energy sector but after some time realizes that this job doesn't bring her much fulfillment. This prompts her to fully pursue a Pilates career once again. "The journey continues." |
